Tideborne

2025

In Tideborne, woven pieces of bark are placed in the river, where they soften, shift, and slowly come apart with the movement of the water. The work engages with processes of formation that are close to what could be understood as a kind of birth; not as a symbolic idea, but as something material and ongoing, happening through pressure, flow, and time.

Bark, current, and riverbed interact, shaping and reshaping the material until its form is no longer fixed. The piece stays with this state of becoming, where change is continuous and never fully resolved
