Through The
Spaces She Left
2023
Through the Spaces She Left is an installation with a video performance that reflects on my relationship with my mother and the spaces that exist between presence and absence. The work looks at how intimacy, distance, and memory shape the way I relate to her and to myself.
The installation brings together a video projection, sound, and material elements such as ash and a white screen. These elements create a layered space where moments of connection and disconnection can exist side by side, without needing to be resolved.
Rather than offering conclusions, the work stays close to the ongoing nature of this relationship, and to the ways in which it continues to shift over time.
